Ingredients
- 30 oz chicken thighs
- BBQ Sauce: ketchup, vinegar, honey, Worcestershire
- Spice rub: brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder
- Olive oil
- Optional: liquid smoke
Instructions
Prepare: Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with olive oil, then apply the spice rub mixture evenly on all sides
Initial Cooking: Place in air fryer basket and cook at 400°F / 204°C for 12-15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F or 71°C
Apply Sauce: Remove basket and generously brush BBQ sauce on chicken. Flip pieces over and brush the other side
Final Cook: Return to air fryer for 6-8 minutes until sauce caramelizes and chicken reaches 175°F or 79°C internally
Rest & Serve: Allow chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving for optimal juiciness
