Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp white sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 6 tbsp butter
- ¾ cup buttermilk
Instructions
Prep: Preheat air fryer to 390°F / 195°C
Mix: In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut cold butter into flour mixture using a pastry cutter until crumbly
Form: Add buttermilk and mix just until combined. On floured surface, fold dough 5-6 times and pat to 1-inch thickness
Cut: Using a 2½-inch biscuit cutter, cut rounds. Re-roll scraps gently to cut remaining biscuits
Cook: Place in air fryer basket and cook 8-10 minutes until golden brown
Finish: Brush hot biscuits with melted butter immediately after cooking
