Ingredients
- 1 medium russet potato
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- Cooking spray
Instructions
Prepare: Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice potato into 1/8 inch thick rounds. Submerge in ice water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch, then pat completely dry with paper towels
Season: In a large bowl, gently toss the dried potato slices with oil until evenly coated. Sprinkle with salt
Cook: Air fry at 370°F / 187°C for 15-18 minutes, shaking basket every 4 minutes until chips are golden brown and crispy
Serve: While chips are still hot, season with additional salt if desired. For best texture and flavor, enjoy the same day
