Ingredients
- 1 serving cooking spray
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp hot honey (such as Mike's Hot Honey)
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- ½ pound baby carrots
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prep: Preheat air fryer to 400°F / 204°C and spray basket with cooking spray
Mix: Combine melted butter, hot honey, orange zest and cardamom in a bowl. Reserve 1 tbsp of sauce
Season: Toss carrots in remaining sauce mixture until evenly coated
Cook: Air fry for 15-22 minutes, tossing every 7 minutes until carrots are tender
Finish: Blend orange juice with reserved sauce and toss with cooked carrots
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste
Serve: Optionally garnish with fresh herbs like basil or chives
